Russian President Putin extends birthday greetings to PM Modi at SCO Summit

Dushanbe/New Delhi : Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday conveyed his warm wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday during his opening remarks at the SCO summit in Dushanbe.

Putin, who addressed the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit virtually, smiled as he read out his greetings to PM Modi, who folded his hands in a namastey in acknowledgment.

The Russian Ambassador in India, Nikolay Kudashev, also tweeted his birthday greetings to PM Modi, and said the “entire world is in admiration of his fascinating energy and dedicated approach to efficiently addressing the challenges of today.”

He also praised PM Modi’s “enormous personal contribution” to strengthening the bilateral ties.
