Rupee down 16 paise against USD

Mumbai: The Rupee remained under pressure for the third straight session on Tuesday as it tumbled down 16 paise at 74.38 in early trade .
On rising demand for US Dollar by banker and importers, dealers at the Foreign Exchange said.
The local unit was seen weak because remained strong Dollar against other world currencies amid volatility in equity market in opening session.
The Rupee unit registered days high and low at 74.36 and 74.42 respectively against the US Dollar, dealer added.
