President arrives on four days visit to Shimla

Shimla : President Ram Nath Kovind arrived in Shimla on Thursday on a four-day visit to Himachal Pradesh.

The President was received at Annadale helipad here by Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, Speaker Vipin Singh Parmar, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Bhardwaj and Shimla Mayor Satya Kaundal among others.

President Kovind will be addressing a special session of the state assembly during his four-day visit and will be the chief guest at the Valedictory Ceremony of the Indian Audit and Accounts Service at the National Academy of Audit and Accounts at Shimla.

He is staying at The Oberoi Cecil near the Himachal Pradesh assembly.
