New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s flagship initiative, Pariksha Pe Charcha
(PPC), which has been successfully organised by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with MyGov since 2018, has been conferred with the Guinness World
Record for the “Most people registered on a Citizen Engagement Platform in one month,” officials said on Monday. The eighth edition of the programme saw an unprecedented 3.53 crore valid registrations and a staggering 21 crore+ viewership across television and digital platforms. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan
shared the news on social media, expressing pride and gratitude for the recognition. Joined by Union Ministers Ashwini Vaishnaw and Jitin Prasada, Pradhan accepted the Guinness World Record certificate at a formal ceremony in New Delhi. The record was validated by Rishi Nath, official adjudicator from Guinness World Records. Speaking on the occasion, Pradhan said that under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Shri
Narendra Modi, Pariksha Pe Charcha has been redefined as a national approach to examinations by turning stress into a festival of learning. Minister Pradhan informed that the 8th edition of PPC saw a total of 21+ crore viewership across all media platforms in 2025. The overwhelming participation in PPC 2025 is seen as a reflection of the country’s collective commitment to holistic and inclusive education and alignment with the vision of a Viksit Bharat, he added. Pradhan also hailed the initiative as a “nation-wide festival for joyful learning,” crediting PM Modi’s vision for transforming exam season into a celebration of personal growth and mindfulness. He also recalled a previous Guinness recognition during his tenure—for PAHAL, the world’s largest
LPG direct benefit transfer scheme. Initiated in 2018, Pariksha Pe Charcha is a unique
platform where Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacts directly with students, teachers, and parents to promote stress-free exam preparation. Over the years, it has evolved into a nationwide movement aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, emphasizing holistic learning, emotional well-being, and participatory education.
The record-breaking participation in PPC 2025 is seen as a testament to the rogramme’s deep impact on student engagement and its role in shaping a more inclusive and emotionally aware education system.
