New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the CoWIN Global Conclave on Monday which will see virtual participation from health and technology experts across the globe.
According to the Health Ministry, it aims to share India’s experience with regards to universal COVID-19 vaccination through Co-WIN platform.
India offers CoWIN as a digital public good to the world to combat COVID-19 and the Prime Minster would share his special message with the experts on the occasion.
About 50 countries, including Canada, Mexico, Nigeria, Panama and Uganda, have shown interest in adopting CoWIN, a digital platform, to run their vaccination drives in their respective countries.
CoWin has been the backbone of India’s vaccination drive. COVID-19 Vaccine registration portal, CoWIN has become very popular and foreign countries are showing interest in this technology, the Ministry said.
National Health Authority CEO Dr R S Sharma has said that India is ready to share the open-source software for free.
