Opening of Ratna Bhandar after discussion: Minister

Bhubaneswar, Sept 23: Opening of Ratna Bhandar (treasury trove) of Puri Jagannath temple will be decided after discussion with the concerned officials, said the Law Minister, Jaganath Sarka on Friday. “Neither you nor I have seen the condition of Ratna Bhandar. An appropriate decision will be taken regarding the opening of the tr e a s u r e tr o v e a ft e r reviewing the ASI letter,” the Minister said. The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has written a letter to the Shri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) asking for repair of t h e R a t n a B h a n d a r. However, nobody has seen the status of the Ratna Bhandar so far, said the Minister. However, he said that the Ratna Bhandar is safe and its valuable treasury is also intact.
