On the 1st of April, Utkal Diwas was celebrated in NTPC Talcher Kaniha to mark the formation of Odisha as an Independent State.

On this occasion of the 85th Foundation Day of Odisha, Chief General Manager Shri Sudip Nag along with other General Managers, various departmental heads, senior officials, and employees paid homage by offering floral tributes to commemorate the contributions of eminent leaders to the State. In view of the current pandemic situation, the occasion was celebrated in a small gathering held in the administrative building of the station following all the COVID-19 protocols.
