Bhubaneswar : In a ten-day special warrant drive the Odisha police have arrested 3488 accused people in the state by executing the warrants.
The special drive was launched on November 5 and continued till November 14 last.
A release from Odisha police said around 2392 warrants were issued in Gr cases, 400 warrants were from the sessions trial cases and 696 warrants were from other cases.
Maximum 592 warrants were executed by arrests in Balasore district followed by 551 in Ganjam district and 516 in Khurda district.
During this warrant drive, 2648 NBWs were otherwise disposed off.
