Delhi : Odisha was honoured by Agriculture Today on Wednesday for its developmental agriculture practices and farmer empowerment. The state was conferred with the ‘Agriculture Leadership Award’ instituted by the Agriculture Today Group in the 16th ‘Agriculture Leadership Conclave’ organised by the Agriculture Today Group, India’s leading media outlet focusing agriculture and its bright future, in Delhi. The coveted award was received by Odisha Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment and Energy, Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo. The award was received in presence of Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, Piyush Goyal, Former Chief Justice of India and
Chairman of the Award Committee, Justice P Sathasivam, among other distinguished guests. Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and
Dy. Chief Minister Singh Deo, dedicated the award to the tens of thousands of farmers, for their massive dedication to make the state a surplus-food reserve among other productive states with selfreliance.
