Odisha Govt Rejects Obligation to Release Ratna Bhandar Key Report

Bhubaneswar, : The Odisha government has informed the Orissa High Court that it is not obligated
to publish the investigation report on the missing key of the Ratna Bhandar, the treasure trove of the Lord Jagannath Temple in Puri. This declaration came in response to a public interest litigation (PIL)
demanding the release of the report. An affidavit submitted by the government states that there is no legal requirement to make the findings public. The PIL, which seeks the disclosure of the report, argues that the investigation’s transparency is crucial. The High Court is scheduled to deliberate on the matter on March 12. The controversy revolves around the disappearance of the keys to the 12th-century shrine’s
treasure trove, an issue that has sparked significant public interest and debate. The Puri Jagannath Temple, one of India’s most prestigious pilgrimage sites, holds deep cultural and religious significance,
