Nodal Secretary reviews various developmental schemes in Puri district

Puri : Principal Secretary (Science and Technology) Chitra Arumugam reviewed the situation in Puri district and various developmental schemes at the Special Circuit House in Puri this morning. The government formulates various public welfare schemes to meet the basic needs of the people and uplift them. It is the duty of all of us to enroll
the beneficiaries as per their eligibility criteria,” said Chitra Arumugam, Nodal Secretary. He stressed the need to make people aware of the real goals of any scheme and project and ensure that the eligible beneficiaries are included in the scheme and achieve
success. At the outset, District Collector Divya Jyoti Parida welcomed everyone and briefed them about various schemes being implemented in the district. The Nodal Secretary reviewed various departments of Health, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission, Fifteenth Finance Commission, Rural Water Supply, WATCO Water Supply  in Urban Areas, Livestock, Power, Tourism, Agriculture, Horticulture, Soil Conservation, Water Resources etc. and gave various suggestions for improving
the work. Later Smt. Arumugam visited the field and gave various suggestions to the department officials and interacted with the beneficiaries. ADM Revenue Dr. Sarat Chandra Mohapatra, Zilla Parishad Chief Development Officer Priyaranjan Prusty,
Municipal Executive Officer Abhimanyu Behera, Joint Director of Planning and
Monitoring Department Sridhar Sethi, other district level officials and officials of line departments participated in the meeting. At the end, Mr. Prusty, Chief Development Officer, Zilla Parishad proposed a vote of thanks.
