New Delhi: Ahead of the monsoon session, a latest order has stated that no dharna will be allowed in Parliament. AICC General SecretaryJairam Ramesh shared the latest order by the Secretary General of the Rajya Sabha PC Mody on Twitter. He captioned the image as “Vishguru’s latest salvo — D(h)arna Mana Hai!” According to the latest order by the Secretary General of the Rajya Sabha, members of Parliament cannot use its precincts for any dharna or strike. The order by PC Mody read, “Members cannot use the precincts of Parliament H o u s e f o r a n y ‘Covid spreader’ and ‘Snoopgate’ and even commonly used words like ‘ashamed’, ‘abused, ‘betrayed’, ‘corrupt’, ‘drama’, ‘hypocrisy’, and ‘incompetent’ is “unparliamentary” in both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. As soon as the booklet was out, some opposition leaders attacked the Centre, calling the restrictions needless. Some even threatened to use them even at the risk of suspension.
