NMT Commemorates Netaji’s Birth Anniversary

Paradeep Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose jayanti celebrated annually on 23 January, marks the birth anniversary of one of India’s
foremost freedom fighter. This significant day is observed as ‘Parakram Diwas’ or Courage Day. On the occasion, Netaji Memorial Trust, a leading voluntary organization of Paradeep commemorate the 128th birth anniversary of the iconic Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose with a patriotic manner. Observing the day at Netaji statue near Badapadia Bus Stand, Mrs. Sabita Mohapatra, Adviser, MMSY, RD Department, Govt. of Odisha was present as the Chief Guest and unfurled the National Flag. The event was presided over by Pabitra Mishra, General Secretary,NMT. Among others, senior labor leader Bishnu Charan Muduli, senior leader
Baburam Chowdhury, social activist Niladri Mohanty and women leader Manorama Khatua were present as the guests and spoke over the sacrifice and contributions of Netaji. Similarly, the guests appealed to take oath for make Paradip area to drug free on the occasion of Netaji’s birth anniversary. Finally, General Secretary of the Trust Mr. Mishra called upon the youth and student society of Paradip to be inspired by Netaji’s patriotism, heroism and ideology. Besides, he thanked the Paradip Port Authority for
their cooperation to installing Netaji’s statue and requested to shift the statue to School Roads area for its safety. At the end, Trust
member Sushil Mohapatra gave the vote of thanks.
