Mah Govt wants to shift international sports university to Pune: AIMIM MP

Aurangabad : Aurangabad AIMIM MP Imtiaz Jaleel on Saturday made a serious allegation that the MVA led state government has decided to shift the international sports university to Pune under the pressure of the Nationalist Congress Party.

Mr Jaleel in his press statement stated that, Environment Minister Aditya Thackeray today tweeted that the International Sports University will be held in Pune and a meeting has been held for it. The International Sports University is proposed in Aurangabad and a place has been fixed for it,he said .

Mr Jaleel further said , a meeting of the District Planning Committee (DPC) held in Aurangabad district, he had raised the issue that the International Sports University should be start to Aurangabad and not elsewhere.

On this, Industry Minister and Guardian Minister of Aurangabad district Subhash Desai had assured that the sports university would be held at Aurangabad in any case and a place has been fixed for it.

Mr Jaleel has asked why injustice was done to Marathwada as usual by shifting the sports university to Pune.

The International Sports University was sanctioned at Karodi near Aurangabad, sports facilities were to be set up at Waluj in Gangapur taluka.

He also accused that number of offices shifted from here to other places and urged the government not to do the same and sports university should be start from Aurangabad,He added.
