Srinagar : Jammu and Kashmir Police said on Tuesday that it had registered two FIRs under the stringent anti-terror law against medical students for raising pro Pakistan slogans and celebrating Pakistan’s victory against India in the T20 World Cup in Dubai on Sunday.
The cases were registered after videos purportedly showing medical students at two college hostels shouting pro Pakistan slogans emerged on social media. The videos showed the medical students of two prominent colleges celebrating Pakistan’s victory over India.
“Yes, the cases have been registered and investigations have been taken up,” a police officer said.
The cases have been registered at thepPolice stations of Soura and Karan Nagar in Srinagar .
The officer said the accused are being identified .
