Panaji : The scheduled visit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President J P Nadda to Goa was cancelled on Sunday.
Addressing a press conference at party state headquarters in the city, BJP Goa President Sadanand Shet Tanavade said Mr Nadda would not be visiting the state on July 12 as he was busy due to other appointments in Delhi.
‘Nadda Ji was scheduled to be in Goa on July 12 and 13. Meetings with MLAs, ministers and other party leaders were planned. A call came today saying that due to urgent meeting in Delhi his visit has been cancelled,’ Mr Tanavade said.
Mr Nadda was scheduled to be on a two day visit to Goa from July 12.
He was to be accompanied by BJP National Secretary B L Santosh and party’s Goa desk incharge C T Ravi.
