Heavy rains lashed parts of the Kerala capital on Monday, leading to water-logging in several low-lying areas. Heavy rainfall and strong winds lashed the city uprooting trees and disrupting traffic. According to the India Meteorological Department, thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places in Kerala from April 4 to 8. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea. Rain also occurred at a few places in Lakshadweep on Monday.
