Stockholm: French author Annie Ernaux has won the the Nobel Prize in Literature for 2022 “for the courage and clinical acuity with which she u n c o v e r s t h e r o o t s , estrangements and collective r e str a i n ts o f p e rs o n a l memory”. “In her writing, Ernaux c o n sist e n tl y a n d fr om different angles, examines a lif e ma rked by strong disparities regarding gender, French author Annie Ernaux wins 2022 Nobel Prize in Literature language and class. Her path to authorship was long and arduous,” the Swedish academy said in a statement on Thursday. Ernauz, 82, will get the prize money of ten million Swedish crowns ($914704).
