Do not fight on streets, IAC Prez Hemant Patil appeals to Thackeray, Shinde

Pune, Sep 23 (Dumanimail) Progressive Maharashtra has inherited a cultured and well-rounded ideological political contest. However, the possibility of a wrong footing in the state cannot be ruled out due to some political events that happened in the past.  With the split in the Shiv Sena, there are fears of street political clashes in the upcoming Dussehra gathering and local body elections, said National President of India Against Corruption Hemant Patil on Friday. He appealed to Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray and Chief Minister Eknath Shinde not to take this wrong step of power struggles in the state. Patil also said both the leaders have set out to end the Hindutva Shiv Sena through their behavior. Uddhav Thackeray and Chief Minister Shinde are of the same mind. Both of them are staunch supporters of Balasaheb Thackeray, the Hindu emperor, and are the promoters of his ideological stance. However, due to the ‘Shinde Rebellion’ in Shiv Sena, the party has split into two parts, he added.  The public image of both the leaders is very high and respected. Patil appealed to maintain your image in the public mind without fighting like a fight over a faucet. If the aggressiveness of these leaders against each other continues like this, a street conflict between the two groups is inevitable tomorrow, he opined. Maharashtra is very peaceful politically, Therefore, the culture of political violence should not spread in the state like West Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh; Patil appealed that these leaders should show understanding. The Chief Minister should do better than making accusations. Patil said Uddhav Thackeray should do social work so that BMC remains under the control of Shiv Sena. Provoking the people will not achieve anything. Work sensibly. We used to enjoy power together for many years and now ‘stuntbaji’ in front of the people is not appropriate. Patil said that the people of the state do not want such extreme struggle.
