New Delhi(UNI): Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) on Wednesday announced that passengers arriving from highly infected states will be randomly tested for COVID-19 infection.
“After the collection of samples, the travellers would be allowed to exit. However, the passengers who are found to be positive shall be mandatory quarantined as per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Protocol,” the DIAL said in an advisory issued on Twitter.
The national capital is yet again witnessing a surge in coronavirus cases as 992 cases were reported in the past day.
Delhi currently houses 7,429 active cases while the death toll stands at 11,016.
