Dark Future of our Earth: The Faustian Deal

Bhubaneswar: Today is 11july, celebrated as world population day. The very day is observed to make us sensitive about the eminent dangerassociated with the over spilling population and it’s exponential growth. Precisely the world is heading towards the dead end where there is no scope of u turn.Despite new emerging technologies are coming and implemented in day to day life, scientists engage in nano technology, work on quantum physics but reality isopposite to it as living world isbudging from better to worse. The core resources that our nature housed, are no doubt huge but limited and ironically human has no scope to make it unlimited. Due to population explosion the limited resources are obviously depleting faster. When resources are limited andin addition to it, we add astronomical 83 million more consumerper annum, it obviouslyreduce theper capita share of resourcesper consumer. When per capita resourcesget reduced, human on the other handmove from rich to poor and poor to poorer. In addition to it, when this sole earth accommodates this huge population burden we are bound to convert the farm land into house
hold land, fertile land into road, rail track, airport etc.. Many essential lands are utilised for setting up industries, factories, sky-scraping buildings, metros which ultimately lead to deforestation. Deforestation is the root cause of ecological imbalance and ubsequently triggers the process of extinction of living species in the earth including human. Earlier unknowingly and now knowingly digging the tomb for our future scions and race. If we brainstorm to find the root of suchproblems we will find the uncontrolled population explosion as their answer. If the so called law makers, policy makers, decision makers andadministrators effort to ignore this issue at present then it may turn this issue into an irreversible problem and may land to a situation like liking our own elbow. The ramification of this uncontrolled population explosion is so explicit that a small student Shantanu Shantiswaroop, Saraswati Sishu vidyamandir Bhimatangi of class 3 aged only 8 years predicts about the future exigency and try to sensitize the society by sending messages through his beautiful drawing in canvas. He predicts that time is coming when man has to fly like a dragon to move from one place to anotherbecause all the liveable lands are exhausted in order to accommodate the gigantic population burden. This little boy depict his scary imagination in canvas to awake the so called intellectual but insensitive society. We need to wake up from thissynthetic insensitivenessand take initiation to defuse the alreadyticking bomb of human explosion before it get explode and invite apocalypse.
