Daily covid cases surpass 100 mark for second day in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, June 29 (Dumanimail) For the second consecutive days the covid positive cases in Odisha crossed 100 mark with 161 new during the last 24 hours, taking the total tally in the state to 12,89,602. On the previous day the state reported 113 covid positive cases. Information and Public Relations department sources here said out of the 161 new covid cases
while 95 are from quarantine 66 are local contact cases. As many as 24 cases were detected in the age group of 0 to 18. Khurda district topped the list with 62 cases followed by Cuttack (32) ,Sundergarh (13), Sonepur and Balasore (8 each) The state now has 629 active cases.

As many as 12, 79, 794 infected persons have already been cured and discharged from the hospital .The death toll remained at 9126. There have been no fatalities due to the Covid infection in the state during the last couple of months,official sources said.
