New Delhi: Delhiites on Sunday woke up to another cold morning, while the air quality improved from ‘very poor’ to ‘poor’ category.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperature was recorded at 8.1 degree Celsius, a notch above the normal mark.
The maximum temperature is likely to settle at around 14 degrees Celsius, the weather department said in its forecast.
On Saturday the maximum temperature was recorded at 14.8 degree Celsius, five notches below the normal.
As per the IMD, the air quality in Delhi improved to poor category from very poor as the overall air quality index (AQI) was clocked at 283.
“The air quality over Delhi-NCT is likely to remain in poor to lower end of very poor category on Sunday and Monday,” it said.
The air quality is likely to remain in the ‘poor’ category on Monday, the IMD added.
