Bhubaneswar: The three-day Festival Suravi was concluded today. On this occasion, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik participated in the program and inspired the children to raise their thoughts. More than 2 thousand students from different districts participated in this program. At the Unit-9 Government High School, the Chief Minister told the children that our children have infinite talent. Our students have talents in all fields of dance, singing, sports, art, innovation and science along with lessons. Work hard to move forward, think big. Strive to take your skills to the world level. You will see, you will get unlimited success and gain fame all over the country, the world. Highlighting the transformation of Odisha, the Chief Minister said that the era of transformation in the state has started from student’s schools. Children are now learning through digital technology. The environment of the school has also become very beautiful. There is also a nice playground. You are no less than anyone. Wishing the children a bright future, the Chief Minister said, “I have full faith, your future will be bright.” My blessings are with you and will be with you.” Appreciating the ‘Suravi’ programme, the Chief Minister said that it is a beautiful occasion. Children from different parts of the state have gathered here. He has shown his talent by participating in various competitions. Also got a new friend. He said that the experience gained here will inspire the children for the rest of their lives. The Chief Minister congratulated all the award winning children. Informative, this year 3549 students were given ‘Odia language scholarship’. Each child gets a one-time scholarship of Rs. 5000. The scholarship amount was transferred to their account online. The scholarship is awarded to the students who have secured the highest marks in the matriculation examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education. The Chief Minister feliciated the top five in the state. These five are Shudashmita Das of SBS Nikhireswar Nodal High School, Balasore, Naina Pradhan of Government Nodal High School, Kamgoan, Bargarh, Prabhasini Mishra of Aarey Baruneshwar High School, Jajpur, Subhankar Patabandha of Mayurbhanj Gadia Chintamani Nodal Vidyapeeth and Dibyasha Palei of Banbishnupur High School, Balasore. Along with this, the Chief Minister awarded the Suravi Award to 3 differentlyabled students namely Umakant Das of Kendrapara, Rashmi Mahali of Sundergarh and Poornima Bhue of Sambalpur. On the occasion of the event, the Chief Minister launched the Mo School coffee table book and a newsletter. Sudam Marndi, Minister of School Education, who was present at the event, said that the Chief Minister always gives importance to children. Today’s child is tomorrow’s future. Keeping in mind the future of children, the Chief Minister started 5T school conversion. He said that you should be committed to fulfill the thoughts that the Chief Minister has for you. MLAAnant Narayan Jena and MLA Sushant Raut attended the program and said that due to the vision of the Chief Minister, a global environment has been created for the education of children in the state today. In today’s program, the smartness of the children is what shows the success of the 5T school transformation. They said that due to the facilities provided in the field of education, sports and art culture, our children will acquire skills in all fields and bring glory to Odisha by gaining fame in the country and abroad. Departmental Secretary Ashwathi S delivered the welcome address and OSEPA Project Director Anupam Shah gave vote of thanks.
