Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is scheduled to leave for Delhi on a two-day visit on August 6. According to sources, the CM will reach Delhi at 12 pm. He is expected to attend the meeting of the National Committee on ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’, which will be graced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Chief Ministers and Governors of different states, and the seventh NITI Ayog’s Governing Council Meeting on August 7, before returning to the state the following day at 11 am. Issues related to economy, agriculture and health are expected to be taken up for discussion. The council may also discuss implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP), urban governance, health and crop diversification, official sources said. Besides, issues pertaining to the economy, achieving self-sufficiency in oilseeds, pulses and other agri-commodities are expected to come up during the meeting.
