New Delhi : The Centre on Monday notified the transfer of 7 high court judges on the recommendation of the Supreme Court Collegium.
The Collegium, headed Chief Justice N V Ramana, made the recommendation on September 21.
Justice Rajan Gupta of the Punjab and Haryana High Court has been transferred to the Patna High Court while Justice T S Sivagnanam moved to the Calcutta High Court from the Madras High Court, the notification said.
Himachal Pradesh High Court judge Justice Sureshwar Thakur will be a judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
The notification said Justice P B Bajanthri of the Karnataka High Court has been transferred to the Patna High Court.
It said Justice Sanjeev Prakash Sharma of the Rajasthan High Court has been moved to the Patna High Court.
He has been directed to assume charge of his office from January 1.
Telangana High Court judge Justice T Amarnath Goud has been transferred to the Tripura High Court and Justice Subhash Chand of the Allahabad High Court moved to the Jharkhand High Court.
