New Delhi : Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu has said that the youth of the country should be made aware about the importance of biodiversity.
In a message issued on the occasion of International Biodiversity Day on Saturday, Mr Naidu said that the whole earth is connected to each other of which humans are also a part. This year’s slogan – “We’re part of the solution For Nature”- is also in line with this.
‘On the occasion of International Biodiversity Day, we should take a pledge to make the younger generation aware of the lifestyle of sustainable development and the importance of biodiversity,” he said.
Notably, the United Nations has proclaimed May 22 The International Day for Biological Diversity to increase understanding and awareness of biodiversity issues.
