Bill Cosby assaulted teen in 1970s: US court

Los Angeles, June 22 (UNI) A Los Angeles court has found American stand-up comedian Bill Cosby liable in a civil case filed by Judy Huth, who had accused him of sexually assaulting her as a teenager in the 1970s.

She has been awarded $500,000 in damages but no punitive compensation.

According to CNN, Huth had first filed the case in 2014, claiming sexual battery and both intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress.

She said that Cosby had asked her to come at a park where was filming a movie. Later, the comedian along with Huth and her friend went to the Playboy Mansion.

Huth alleged that though Cosby knew her age and that of her friend, he directed the teens “that if any of the Playboy bunnies asked their age, they should say they were 19,” CNN reported.
