Kolkata : West Bengal Minister Manas Bhunia, was summoned by the CBI to appear on Monday before its investigation officers probing the Ponzi i-Core scam case, reportedly failed to depose at the scheduled time owing to busy at his assembly segment, which was under waterlogged following rain.
The central probe agency late last week has sent a sent summons to Trinamool Congress leader and state minister of Water Resources Investigation and Development Manas Bhunia to appear at the agency’s CGO Complex office in Salt Lake at around 1200 hours on Monday.
It is learnt that Mr Bhunia, an MLA from Sabang in West Medinipur was now engaged in monitoring the dewatering process at his segment, which is flooded by rain waters.
