Ayodhya without Ram unimaginable: President

Ayodhya : President Ram Nath Kovind on Sunday said Ayodhya without Lord Ram is unimaginable as the ‘country’s soul’ is present here.

“Lord Ram is worshipped by everyone and Ayodhya has turned out to be a religious and cultural centre of the world,” Kovind said, while inaugurating the Ramayana conclave here at the Ramkatha Park on Sunday,

Referring the relevance of Ayodhya in other countries, he said, the Queen Suri Ratna of Korea is from the city while in Thailand there is a city named ‘Ayutthaya,’ drawn from Ayodhya.

Reminiscing father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi’s dream, Mr Kovind said that Gandhiji too dreamt of a ‘Ram Rajya’.

The President lauded the Yogi Adityanath government in UP for an all-round development of Ayodhya.

“It is good to see that PM and CM are giving equal importance in developing Kashi dham And Ayodhya,” he added.

Chief minister Yogi Adityanath while welcoming the President said that Ayodhya has been honoured on his visit.

First lady Savita Kovind was presented a Benarasi sari by Governor Anandiben Patel during the Ramayana Conclave.
