Kuala Lumpur: june 25 (Dumanimial) Asia’s three representatives learnt their opponents for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup India 2022 following the draw on Friday. The action promises to be exciting with China PR, Japan and India all drawn in challenging groups. Hosts India, who will be making their debut, will play the United States ( October 11, 2022) in the tournament opener with Morocco and Brazil also in Group A. China PR, who will be making their third appearance in the tournament after group stage outings in 2012 and 2014, will face defending champions Spain, Colombia and Mexico in Group C. Japan, the 2014 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup champions, were drawn in Group D alongside Tanzania, Canada and France. Group B comprises Germany, Nigeria, Chile and New Zealand with the tournament scheduled for October 11-30. India will be hosting a FIFA tournament for the second time, having organised the hugely successful 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
