New Delhi : The air quality in Delhi marginally improved on Tuesday and slipped into the ‘poor’ category as the overall AQI in Delhi stood at 285, according to the data by the India Meteorological Department.As per the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR) the level of PM 2.5 and PM 10 in Delhi’s air stood at 187 and 105, respectively.According to the data of the Central Pollution Control Board, (CPCB) the neighbouring parts of Delhi, also recorded their air quality in the ‘poor” category with Faridabad at 250, Ghaziabad at 215, Gurugram at 283 and Noida sector 1 at 237.An AQI between zero and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 and 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 and 200 ‘moderate’, 201 and 300 ‘poor’, 301 and 400 ‘very poor’, and 401 and 500 ‘severe’.Meanwhile the city recorded the minimum temperature of 9.4 degree on Tuesday, three notches above normal.The day will remain generally cloudy with the possibility of light rain and drizzle on Tuesday, with the maximum temperature likely to hover around 20 degrees Celsius,” IMD said.
