After a beautiful whitewedding in Germany, actorSreejita De is all set to getmarried to Michael Blohm-Pape once again, this time indesi style, with Indiantraditions and rituals. “Myparents are coming to spendthe festive season with us inMumbai, and Michael’sparents will be flying downfrom Germany for our Indianwedding. We had planned tohave the traditional weddingin November earlier, but had topush it because of some workcommitments. Now, it will behappening at the beginning ofnext year in Goa, mostly inJanuary or February, becauseafter that the weather is quitehot,” says Sreejita, who marriedher long-time beau in his homecountry in July this year.Divulging more details
about the ceremony, Sreejitareveals that it will be a “typicalBengali wedding”, and theyhave already started planning
for the second round ofcelebrations.”We wanted to relax for abit after our German wedding,
and now the prep for the desiwedding is in full swing. It willbe a Bengali wedding with allthe customs, and will have allthe functions from mehendi tohaldi,” shares the actor.Asked why Goa as thedestination for her special day
and the actor tells us, “Weboth are beach lovers. AndGoa has a very close andspecial place in our heart as
we spent eight months in thestate during lockdown. That’swhen we fell in love with theplace. My parents wanted the
wedding to be held in Kolkata,but I insisted it to happen inGoa”.And Michael is excited todive into the cultural revelryof Indian functions throughthe wedding festivities.”When we got engaged inDecember of 2021, we started
talking about weddings,when we should get marriedand how. Since the start I wasvery clear in my head that I
don’t want to do a fusion thingand not to mix up both,” sherecalls, adding, “Like somepeople get married as per
Indian rituals, and then throwa reception in a different way.We decided to have a Germanwedding so that I also get toknow about their traditionsand then Indian wedding sothat their family can alsounderstand Indian cultureand the huge beautiful chaoswhich we create during thewedding. Indian weddingsare all about shor, sharabaand dancing.However, white weddingsare very quiet and calm.Michael has been in it sincethe start. So, we are all set to
celebrate the Indiantraditions and functions.
