Actor Mahesh Babu tests COVID positive

Hyderabad: Telugu actorMahesh Babu has quarantined himself afterhe tested positive for the novel coronaviruson Thursday.
Taking to micro blogging platform Twitter,the 46-year-old actor said: “Despite taking allthe necessary precautions, I’ve tested positivefor Covid-19 with mild symptoms. I’veisolated myself at home and have beenfollowing medical guidance.”
“Requesting all those who came in contact with me to get themselves tested, he urged everyonewho’s not taken their vaccination to do so immediately, as it reduces the risk of severe symptomsand hospitalization,” he said.
Please follow the Covid norms and stay safe. Can’t wait to be back, he added.
Mahesh Babu, who is considered one of the most popular actors in Telugu cinema, is widelyreferred in the media as “Superstar of Tollywood” and “Prince Mahesh Babu”.
