New Delhi : Mr Kiren Rijiju on Thursday assumed charge as Minister of Law and Justice in the presence of senior officials of the Ministry.
Speaking on the occasion, he said, “It is a huge responsibility for me to function as a Minister for Law & Justice. Fulfilling public expectations will be my priority and I will always try to keep transparency.”

Ji.Under the leadership of Hon’ble PM @narendramodi ji, I look forward to fulfilling this new responsibility with full dedication and commitment”, he tweeted after assuming the charge of the Ministry.
He was Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs from May 2019 till July 7 and was elevated to the Cabinet rank in a mega reshuffle and expansion of the Council of Ministers on Wednesday.
Before taking charge of the Law Ministry, he visited the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and thanked officials there.
