Bhubaneswar : While heavy rain is continuing in different parts of Odisha due to the effect of an active cyclone, the weather department has predicted that the downpour will
continue for another 24 hours in the state. As per latest weather update, a cyclone is active over Odisha. The said cyclone that is hovering over South Bangladesh and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha coast has made it rain in Odisha and WB. Due to its influence, rain is lashing various parts of the state. The impact of rain is
especially severe in North Odisha. Under these circumstances, yellow warning has been issued for 20 Odisha districts for heavy rain today (Thursday). The regional MeT center has forecast that Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Sundargarh districts of North Odisha will receive heavy rain in the next 24 hours. Along with this, a warning of thundershowers and rain has been issued for Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Puri,
Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam and Gajapati districts.
