Khordha,: Language is needed to communicate with each other. We can create our own identity through the medium of mother tongue. The International Mother Language Day was celebrated by Sigma Public School, Khordha a leading educational institution, urging students to realize the importance of their mother tongue in the field of education.The founder of the school, Subhranshu Ranjan Samantaray, and the principal, Mamtanjali Pattnaik, attended the event as guests and highlighted the definition and need of one’s mother tongue. Definition, reading of newspapers in Odia language, book reading, essay writing on 30 districts of Odisha were organized among the students. Apart from this, students and teachers of Bengali and Bhojpuri languages also highlighted the relationship between their mother tongues. The director of the institute Mr. Samantaray pledged to provide the identity of their mother tongue in all fields in the future. At the end, Bande Utkala Janani was sung in unison.
