Awareness camp on Child Protection Act, Adoption and child protection Scheme.

Loisingha, 26/12/2024, Block level awareness program on child protection and adoption, fostering and child care was held at Mission Shakti Bhagarh of Agalpur (Duduka) block. An awareness workshop was held under the chairmanship of Subhasree Mishra – CDPO. In this program, CDPO said that the Department of Children and Women, Government of Odisha, has included various schemes for the development, safety and overall development of the child from the womb to the age of 18 years and informed about the legal provisions in adoption. In this workshop, Arun Kumar Khush, Social Worker, DCPU provided training on legal adoption, qualifications of prospective adoptive parents, application of unknown persons for adoption through the CARINGS portal, foster care system and adoption of a child as a foster child from foster care system. In the workshop, District Consultant of ARUNA, Pramod Bagrti, posted in the District Child Protection Unit, provided training on Foster Care, Jashoda, Sponsorship ,Green Passage Scheme, eligibility, required papers, application requirements. ASHA, Anganwadi, supervisors from Agalpur block were present in the program. District Coordinator of Child Help Line Vikram Panda, ICDS Supervisor Dulari Dharua, Praful Kumar Dora, Padmini Patra were present in the program and gave speeches related to child protection. Finally, Anupam Naik, Supervisor of Child Development Department of the block, proposed a vote of thanks to everyone.
