Thane : As many as sixteen students of a school in Navi Mumbai have been found to be Covid19 positive and being treated at the civic COVID center at Vashi an official of the NMMC said on Saturday.
He said that the parent of a XI standard student had returned from Qatar on December 9, who was tested and found to be negative.
The family members of the returnee in Gotivali village were tested and the student of XI standard turned out to be positive.
Following this detection all the students of Shetkari Sikshan Sanstha were tested in the last three days and of them, 16 studying in classes VIII to XI were found to be positive said the official. So far 811 students had been tested, he added.
