Around 90.42 per cent votes of 1,20,657 votes were polled for 27 seats of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly till 1400 hours on Saturday. According to Joint Chief Electoral Officer (ACEO) maximum 94.67 per cent votes were polled in Ghazipur district. Among other district 90 per cent votes were polled in Moradabad, 89.3 per cent in Bareilly, 85.42 per cent in Shahjahanpur, 90.5 per cent Sitapur, 93.31 per cent in Lucknow, 88 per cent in Rae Bareli, 86.7 per cent in Pratapgarh, 91.73 per cent in Sultanpur, 84 per cent in Barabanki, 92.84 per cent in Bahraich, 92.84 per cent in Gonda, 89.3 per cent in Ayodhya and 88.73 per cent in Basti. Similarly, 90 per cent votes were polled in Gorakhpur, 90.93 per cent in Deoria, 91.64 per cent in Azamgarh, 93.79 per cent in Ballia, 88.41 per cent in Jaunpur, 93.41 per cent in Varanasi, 91.03 per cent in Prayagraj, 91.5 per cent in Jhansi, 91.41 per cent in Fatehpur, 90.02 per cent in Farrukhabad, 91.98 per cent in Agra, 92.14 per cent in Meerut and 87.7 per cent in Saharanpur. Among prominent who exercised their franchise Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath cast his vote in Gorakhpur, Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya in Prayagraj, Samajwadi Party (SP) patron Mulayam Singh Yadav in Etawah, Union Minister Smriti Irani in Amethi, Union Minister SPS Baghel in Agra, Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (PSP) president Shivpal Singh Yadav in Etawah and former Deputy CM Dr Dinesh Sharma in Lucknow
