Puri: Regional Transport Office has started a school-level road safety awareness program. In this context, it was held among the students at Vishwambar Vidyapith today. Small awareness message videos prepared by the State Transport Authority on the occasion were displayed to the students in the smart classroom. Regional Transport Officer Mr. Robin Patnaik, who was present on the occasion, explained to the students about various laws related to road safety and how to travel safely on the roads. Later, a question and answer session on road safety was held among the students and the meritorious students were awarded. Members of the Association of Twitter Activists assisted in the management of the event. In the coming days, efforts will also be made to conduct various awareness works by the students to reduce the accident rate in Puri district, said AATA President Bismay Mishra.
