Odisha Govt officers and employees whose integrity is doubtful will be given premature retired

Bhubaneswar,  : Odisha government has geared-up to give premature premature
retirement to weed out officers and employees of doubtful integrity or inefficiency from public service. Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja has issued an order in this regard with the aim to ensure efficiency in administration. In a letter to all the Secretaries, the Chief Secretary had directed them to strictly follow the September 24, 2019 circular of General Administration and Public Grievance (GA&PG) Department on premature retirement of government servants to weed out officers and employees of doubtful integrity or inefficiency from public service. On September 24, 2019, the then Principal Secretary of GA Department had written to all Secretaries on weeding out corrupt and inefficient officers after completion of 30 years of service and on attaining 50 and 55 years of age. The secretaries were also asked to maintain a register of officers/ employees who are completing 30 years of qualifying service or attaining 50 years of age and on their attaining 55 years of age and the register should be scrutinized at the beginning of every quarter by a senior officer in the Department/ Office and the review undertaken according to the below schedule
