Kolkata : Senior judge Prakash Shrivastava on Monday was sworn in as the new Chief Justice of Calcutta High court at a simple official function in the high court premises, where all senior judicial officials were present maintaining the
Covid -19 restriction.
The oath of office was administered by West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankar to the 60-year-old judge from Madhya Pradesh justice Prakash Shrivastava, who became the 42nd Chief Justice of Calcutta High court, the oldest high court of India (July 1, 1862).
