Aurangabad : World-renowned tourist places, including Ellora and Ajanta caves in this district, will be thrown open to the public from Wednesday, an official statement said here.
In a joint notification issued late last night, District Collector Sunil Chavan and Aurangabad City Police Commissioner Dr Nikhil Gupta stated that with the permission of the Archaeological Department, these sites will be reopened in strict compliance with Covid protocols.
The sites include Ellora , Ajanta Caves, Daulatabad Fort, Bibi Ka Makbara Tomb and Aurangabad caves.
On June 16, all the places will be cleaned and security arrangements made.
While from June 17 onwards tourist will be allow to visit under Covid Appropriate Behavior (CAB)compulsion, including wearing masks, social distancing, sanitizer and if need use of face shield.
In the morning, a total of 1,000 tourist will be allowed and in second session also 1000 tourist can visit ,the notification added.
