Hamirpur : Activists of the Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) have launched a campaign to distribute free textbooks to the children living in slums and belonging to the migrant laborers.
Arun Bharmauri, the local ABVP President said that due the COVID-19 pandemic it was difficult for such children to carry on their studies hence the ABVP extended a helping hand by distributing books so that children could study.
Under this campaign, 41 students were allotted textbooks related material by the activists of the student council, in which two copies, pencils, rubber, pens, sharpeners, and masks were given per student.
He said that the Parishad would try to take this campaign to all the needy students across the district so that no student was deprived of the education due to the pandemic.
Bharmauria said that if any person wanted to get the study material allotted in his/her vicinity, and then he/she can contact local ABVP leaders.
