New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday congratulated the Indian archers for their excellent performance in the Paris Archery World Cup.
The Prime Minister tweeted, “Indian archers have performed brilliantly in the World Cup in the last few days. Congratulations to Deepika Kumari, Ankita, Komalika Bari, Atanu Das and Abhishek for all the success. Their success will definitely inspire other talented players in this field.”
It is noteworthy that Indian archer Atanu Das and his wife star archer Deepika Kumari created history by winning a gold medal in the mixed doubles event at the stage three of the Paris Archery World Cup on Sunday.
Deepika scored a hat-trick in the competition by winning gold medals in individual, women’s doubles and mixed doubles categories.
Compound archer Abhishek Verma won the gold medal in the men’s individual event on Saturday.
