Mumbai: The Rupee on Monday advanced 16 paise to 74.15 against the US Dollar in the opening trade on firm opening in the stock market, dealers at the Foreign Exchange said.
The local unit jumped in early trade, owing to a weak Dollar against other world currencies amid a strong opening in stock market.
The Rupee unit registered the days high and low at 74.12 and 74.18 respectively against the US Dollar, dealers added.
