Unused government properties in Odisha to be handed over to Mission Shakti

Bhubaneswar, Apr 8 (UNI) Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today directed the District Collectors to hand over the government properties lying unused in the districts, blocks and Panchayats to Mission Shakti Mahasangha within two months.

Mr Patnaik said many unused government properties including government land, buildings and shops are lying unused in various panchayats, blocks and districts.

The Mission Shakti Mahasangha would utilise these properties for the social and economic development of the areas if it was handed over to them and the common people will get the benefit.

The Chief Minister said Mission Shakti has become the pioneer of change today. This initiative will further help in strengthening the silent revolution of women.

The government has already accorded the status of a special department to Mission Shakti. It will further strengthen 70 Lakh women and help them to provide services with more efficiency, official sources said.
