T20 WC: Aus set Ind 153-run target in 2nd warm up match

Dubai : Steven Smith scored a half-century while Marcus Stoinis provided a late flourish with an unbeaten 41 to help Australia score 152 for 5 against India in the second warm up match at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup here on Wednesday.

Opting to bat first, the Indian bowlers picked up three early wickets, leaving the Australians tottering at 11 for 3 in the fourth over. But Australia regained its momentum by adding 141 runs in the remaining overs.

Bhuvaneshwar Kumar (1/27), Ravichandran Ashwin (2/8), Ravindra Jadeja (1/35) and Rahul Chahar (1/17) were the wicket-takers for India.

Smith top-scored for Australia with a 48-ball 57 runs with 7 boundaries.

Towards the end, Stoinis made unbeaten 41 off 25 balls with 4 boundaries and a six. Stoinis and Smith added 76-runs stand for fifth wicket.

India had won the first warm up match against England.
