Bhubaneswar : The Special Task Force (STF) of the Odisha Crime Branch police have seized nearly two kg brown sugar worth over Rs.2 crore and arrested one person.
Odisha DGP Abhay said acting on an intelligence tip-off, the STF team from Bhubaneswar seized brown sugar weighing 2 kg 012 gms and other incriminating material from the possession of one person ar Basta in Balasore district who was later arrested.
Mr Abhaya said since 2020 in the special drive by the STF against the narcotic drugs over 34 kg of brown sugar /heroin and 66 quintals (6600 kg) of Ganja (dry cannabis) have been seized and more than 100 drug traffickers/ peddlers arrested.
